Riyadh – Mubasher: Makkah Region’s ruler Khalid Al Faisal on Wednesday has announced laying the cornerstone for Al Qunfudhah Airport.
The airport’s area will be 24 million square metres, while its annual capacity will reach 500,000 passengers.
The new facility will serve Makkah, Asir, and Al Bahah regions.
On a related note, Al Qunfudhah Airport will include three terminals, runway and apron for parking five jets, roads network, and control tower.
