Cairo – Mubasher: Mumbai-based pastry and bakery chain Monginis plans to open 30 branches across the governorates of Egypt this year with up to EGP 30 million in investments.
The Indian company will open 10 new stores at Cairo Metro’s stations within 10 days, reaching a total number of 40 branches, chairman Adnan Khorakiwala told Almal News.
Some of the company’s production lines in Egypt will be transferred to the new factory, currently being established in Sadat city, Khorakiwala said.
The new factory spans 19,000-metre area and includes seven to eight production lines, he added.
The chairman remarked that the factory is projected to commence full operations late 2019.
