Indian Lemon Tree Hotels to foray into Dubai in 2019

Dubai – Mubasher: Indian hospitality firm Lemon Tree Hotels Limited announced that it has inked an agreement with Al Waleed Real Estate to launch its first hotel in the emirate Dubai.

India’s largest hotel chain in the mid-priced hospitality sector said the hotel is expected to be launched by the third quarter of 2019.

“We are delighted to enter Dubai with our partners Al Waleed Real Estate. This is our first hotel in the UAE, and we feel that it holds immense business potential,” Rattan Keswani, deputy managing director of Lemon Tree Hotels and director of Carnation Hotels, said.

The new hotel will be located on Al Wasl Road and will comprise 114 rooms and suites, a multi-cuisine restaurant, a conference room, a swimming pool, and a fitness centre.

The Indian hospitality company did not disclose the investment cost of the project.

“There was a need for a mid-scale hotel of this caliber in this location, and we found Lemon Tree Hotels to be the best partner for the project, taking into account that India has been the largest source into Dubai, as well as the UAE as a whole, for over three years now,” Mohammed Abdulrazzaq Abdul Aziz Al Mutawa, CEO of Al Waleed Real Estate, commented.

Established in 2014, Lemon Tree Hotels operates about 5,000 rooms in 51 hotels across 31 cities.
