Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Indian embassy in the UAE has issued a warning to expats in the Gulf nation regarding fraudulent calls that claim they are from the embassy but are in fact from tricksters.
The embassy shared the public notice via Twitter, urging Indians to be extra cautious against the unknown callers, who ask victims to deposit money in several bank accounts in the name of the embassy.
In its statement, the embassy shared the phone number used by the “unidentified people,” and where people can contact the embassy if they receive such calls. It further stressed that “the embassy does not make such calls.”
