Indian firms to boost investments in Egypt

Cairo - Mubasher: An Indian resins and industrial chemicals manufacturer plans to invest EGP 300 million in the Egyptian market, the Egyptian minister of trade and industry said on Saturday according to a press release.

Lulu, an Indian company specialised in retail, will expand its operations in Egypt by opening two new branches employing 3500 workers, minister Tarek Kabil said.

Aditya Birla group, based in Alexandria, plans to increase its annual exports to the European market to reach $200 million, the minister added.
