Industrials, banks boost QSE at Wednesday’s open

Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) grew 0.24% or 24.14 points to 10,181.51 points early Wednesday.

By 10:00 am Qatar time, most sectors were in the green, with the exception of the services and real estate sectors, which dropped 0.73%, and 0.68%, respectively.

The industrials sector led risers with 1.03% as Qatar Electricity and Water rose 2.84%, followed by Industries Qatar with 1.22%, and Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding with 0.75%.

The banks sector went up 0.34% as Dlala Brokerage and Investment Holding, Qatar National Bank (QNB), and Qatar International Islamic Bank (QIIB) levelled up 1.87%, 1.30%, and 1.28%, respectively.

The transportation sector added 0.17% after Qatar Navigation (Milaha) and Gulf Warehousing gained 0.43% and 0.19%, respectively.

The telecoms sector increased 0.14% as Ooredoo inched up 0.29%.

Liquidity reached QAR 26.14 million after 675,430 shares were traded through 646 transactions.

Qatar First Bank (QFB) led in terms of traded volume with 143,540 shares, while Industries Qatar led in terms of trading value with a liquidity of QAR 10.63 million.
