Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Wednesday's trading session in the green, supported by the growth of four sectors.
By 10:00 am Qatar time, the general index inched up 0.08% to 8,876.83 points, adding 6.67 points.
Turnover amounted to QAR 17.3 million after 709,500 million shares were exchanged through 470 transactions.
The industrial sector topped the QSE’s risers adding 0.55% as Industries Qatar and Aamal Company levelled up 0.99% and 0.81%, respectively.
Similarly, the banking sector inched up 0.01% due to Qatar Oman Investment Company’s 4.81% increase.
On the negative side, the goods and services sector topped the bourse’s decliners falling 0.42%, dragged by Mannai Corporate and Medicare Group which decreased 3.30% and 0.94%, respectively.
Vodafone Qatar’s stock led the QSE in terms of trading volume with 171,300 shares, while Ooredoo’s stock, which advanced 0.94%, spearheaded the market in terms of liquidity with QAR 4.3 million.
