Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Thursday’s trading in the green, encouraged by the growth of four sectors.
By 10:04 am Qatar time, the general index increased 0.19% to 9,376.12 points, adding 18.07 points.
Turnover amounted to QAR 41.04 million after 1.49 million shares traded through 768 transactions.
The industrial sector topped the bourse four gainers rising 0.44% after Gulf International Services added 2.14%.
The goods and services sector levelled up 0.42%, boosted by Medicare Group’s 1.88% rise.
Meanwhile, the real estate sector topped the market’s three losers sliding 4.21% led by Ezdan Holding Group and Mazaya Qatar Real Estate Development, which dropped 7.20% and 1.83%, respectively.
Ezdan Holding Group led the QSE in terms of trading volume with 253,030 shares, while Qatar International Islamic Bank, which declined 0.14% led the bourse in terms of liquidity generating QAR 8.4 million.
