Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) ended Tuesday in the green after gaining 0.14% or 14.01 points, reaching 9,865.78 points.
The telecoms sector rose 1.16% as Ooredoo added 1.5%.
The industrials sector grew 0.74% after Qatar Electricity and Water Company (QEWC) and Industries Qatar increased 1.23% and 0.99%, respectively.
The transportation sector went up 0.37% as Qatar Gas Transport Company (Nakilat) levelled up 0.53% and Qatar Navigation (Milaha) rose 0.30%.
On the flipside, the consumer goods and services sector fell 0.70% after Qatar Fuel (Woqod) decreased 1.5%.
Zad Holding Company led risers with 2.84%, whereas Qatar Islamic Insurance was the worst performer with 2.9%.
Traded volume dropped to 7.77 million shares on Tuesday against 8.7 million shares on Monday, whereas liquidity rose to QAR 252.18 million against QAR 237.92 million.
Vodafone Qatar’s stock, down 0.44%, led in terms of trading volume with 1.81 million shares traded, while Milaha’s stock was the most active in terms of traded value with a liquidity of QAR 33.06 million.
Earlier on Tuesday, the benchmark index gained 0.18% to reach 9,870.58 points.
