Mubasher: The main index of the Muscat Securities Market (MSM) rose 0.02% or 1.11 points, reaching 5,624.67 points early Thursday.
By 8:30am Muscat time, the industry sector increased 0.24%, backed by the rise of Oman Fisheries and Al Anwar Ceramics by 2.58% and 1.8%, respectively.
The financial sector levelled up 0.04% as Al Madina Investment Company went up 1.37%.
Similarly, the services sector edged up 0.01% as Al Jazeira Services increased 0.57%.
On the other hand, Galfar Engineering and Contracting and Al Jazeera Steel slid 1.19% and 0.85%, respectively.
Al Madina Investment was the most active on the market, in terms of volume and value with 1.67 million shares exchanged and a turnover of OMR 123,300.
The MSM’s total traded volume reached 2.75 million shares exchanged through 116 transactions with a trading value of OMR 338,310.
