Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Monday’s trading in the green, backed by the growth of six sectors.
By 10:05 am Qatar time, the general index grew 1.28% to 8,894.18 points, adding 113.50 points.
The bourse's turnover amounted to QAR 76.16 million after 1.72 million shares changed hands through 785 transactions.
The industrial sector topped the QSE’s gainers adding 3.10% as Qatar Electricity and Water Company went up 4.51%.
Similarly, the banking sector grew 0.63% after Qatar National Bank inched up 0.07%.
On the negative side, the telecommunication sector was the market’s only decliner falling 0.76% as Vodafone Qatar went down 1.28%.
Mesaieed’s stock, which advanced 1.29%, led the bourse in terms of trading volume with 298,800 shares, while Masraf Al Rayan’s stock, which increased 2.25%, headed the bourse in terms of liquidity with QAR 20.2 million.
