Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Thursday’s trading session down, pressured by the drop of four sectors.
By 09:50 am Qatar time, the general index inched down 8.23 points, or 0.09 %, to 9,222.37 points.
the bourse's turnover amounted to QAR 5.19 million after 409,020 shares were traded through 156 transactions.
The industrial sector topped the QSE’s decliners losing 0.48% as Qatari Investors Group went down 1.47%.
On the other hand, the real estate sector topped the bourse’s three risers adding 0.09% after Mazaya Qatar Real Estate Development and Ezdan Holding Group increased 1.12% and 0.12%, respectively.
Similarly, the banking sector inched up 0.06% on the back of Qatar First Bank’s 0.53% jump.
Qatar First Bank’s stock led the QSE in terms of trading volume with 207,900 shares, while Masraf Al Rayan’s stock, which advanced 0.37%, headed the market in terms of liquidity with QAR 1.9 million.
