Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed 0.52% or 53.77 points lower, reaching 10,344.08 points on Monday.
The index was affected by the drop of the industry sector, which fell 0.78% as Industries Qatar slid 1.72%.
Consumer goods and services edged down 0.3%, weighed down by Qatari German for Medical Devices with 2%.
On the other hand, banks and financial services rose 0.25% as Qatar Islamic Bank went up 0.79%.
Trading volume reached 10.3 million shares on Monday against 5.49 million shares on Sunday, as liquidity rose to QAR 287.93 million against QAR 200.03 million.
Vodafone Qatar’s share led in terms of trading volume with 2.35 million shares, while Masraf Al Rayan was the value leader with liquidity worth QAR 85.31 million.
