Inflation rate down 1.2% in Jordan

Mubasher: The inflation rate in Jordan retreated by 1.2% in the first eight months of 2016 compared to the same period in 2015, according to the data released by the Jordanian Department of Statistics.

This decrease in inflation rates was led by the transportation group with 7%, meat and poultry with 8.9%, fuel and electricity (6.8%), fruits and nuts (3%), and milk and dairy products (1.8%).

On the other hand, the leasing, and the tobacco and cigarettes groups rose by 2.8% and 2.4% respectively.
