Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s delegation at the World Bank’s (WB) Washington-based annual meetings is presided by the Minister of International Cooperation Sahar Nasr, according to a press release on Monday.
At the beginning of her visit to Washington, the minister would held several meetings with a number of WB and International Finance Corporation (IFC) officials, along with representing Egypt at the G-24 meetings and the WB’s Arab governors meeting, the press release reported.
The meetings with the WB officials will focus on discussing the cooperation portfolio of programs and projects financed with $8 billion, of which the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) and the IFC would provide $6 billion and $2 billion, respectively.
During the meetings, talks would be centered on citizens’ needs, especially in lagging regions, along with the government’s priorities during the upcoming period and the financial institution’s role in the development projects
