Cairo-Mubasher: The International Company for Sugar Beet will open its complex on Suez Canal Corridor by 2018, with a production capacity of 250,000 tonnes annually, said Chairman Saber Hamoudah.
He added that the project's cost reaches $500 million, and all relevant studies have been completed.
A company was selected to carry out the plant's infrastructure, such as roads, services and utilities, the Chairman noted.
He also indicated that the project aims to boost the national economy and develop the east area of Suez Canal, in addition to offering nearly 5,000 job opportunities.
