Mubasher: Bahrain-based private equity firm Investcorp on Wednesday announced the launch of its “Strategic Capital Partners” strategy that will focus on minority equity investments in mid-sized alternative asset managers (AMs).
The leading provider and manager of alternative investment products appointed Anthony Maniscalco to guide the new strategy, according to an official statement.
Anthony joins Investcorp as the managing partner and head of Strategic Capital Partners within the Firm’s Absolute Return Investments group.
“We are looking forward to expanding our range of capabilities by introducing this new strategy that will target investments in mid-sized managers across different alternative asset classes,” co-CEO at Investcorp Rishi Kapoor said.
The new initiative by the firm is set to acquire minority equity stakes in the GPs of established alternative asset managers that comprises hedge fund managers, venture capital, real estate, private debt, and private equity, the statement added.
