Investcorp to invest in some of Aramco’s units – CEO

Mubasher: Investcorp plans to invest in activities which are related to the Saudi Arabian Oil Co, known internationally as Saudi Aramco, the CEO Mohammed Mahfoodh Alardhi said.

The Bahrain Bourse-listed bank will make acquisitions in the Saudi health care and educational sector during the coming period as Saudi government will privatise some assets and firms, Reuters reported, citing Alardhi as saying.

Investcorp seeks to increase its investments to reach $50 billion in the coming five years.

The Bahraini bank plans to acquire business of Aramco as the chemicals companies, as well as discussions of purchasing some assets which are owned by Aramco after its listing in 2018, the CEO stated.

“Investcorp is planning launch a $750 million healthcare fund, with part of that investment earmarked for Saudi Arabia,” Reuters concluded.
