Investment sector pushes BHB to green zone

Mubasher: The main index of Bahrain’s stock market rose 0.45% or 5.38 points to close at 1,201.56 points on Wednesday.

Bahrain Islamic Index fell by 0.25% to reach 786.54 points.

Turnover increased to BHD 1.20 million as trading volume levelled up to 5.83 million shares.

Market cap increased to BHD 7.12 billion from BHD 7.08 billion on Tuesday.

The investment sector rose by 2.35% as Arab Banking Corporation grew 7.5%.

The banks sector retreated 0.08% as Khaleeji Commercial and AUB fell by 1.54% and 0.75% respectively, however, the National Bank of Bahrain rose by 1.46%.

Zain recorded liquidity of $854,400 as 4.8 million shares were traded. The stock leveled 0.56% down.
