Mubasher: Investors in the Gulf stock markets are expected to remain cautious on Tuesday, in line with the fall of global stocks as doubts increase over US President Donald Trump’s growth policies, analysts told Mubasher.
Most foreign portfolio investors tend to sell their shares, analysts said, adding that investors are anticipating the impact of the withdrawal of Trump's healthcare reform bill.
Trading volume declined by 50% in the past sessions, technical analyst Hamed Al Anqari said.
Gulf stocks are expected to see increased pressures throughout the rest of this week, amid anxiety over the performance of global stocks, Al Anqari added.
Fluctuation of oil prices is one of the main factors pushing investors to make sales until the markets’ trend becomes clearer, capital market analyst Ahmed Akl told Mubasher.
Changing positions and investing in stocks with good solvency are important for long-term investors in the coming period, Akl added.
Low-priced GCC stocks are expected to witness an accumulation on Tuesday, capital market analyst Muhammad Al Anzi said.
