Iraq exports new LPG cargoes

Mubasher: Iraq exported two new cargoes of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), one carrying 1,600 tonnes and the other carrying 1,530 tonnes, through the country’s southern ports of Basra, according to the statement issued by the oil ministry on Monday.

A third cargo was also shipped with 21,840 cubic meters of gas condensates, said the deputy minister for gas affairs Hamid Younis.

The ministry is making sure to keep the flow of liquefied gas and gas condensates exports, following the procedures of the State Organization for Marketing of Oil (SOMO), added Younis.

Iraq exported the first LPG cargo, with a volume of 2,000 tonnes in June, after production levels reached 5,000 tonnes per day.
