Mubasher: The Iraqi government set the crude oil price in the new public budget for the upcoming fiscal year at $35 per barrel, the Prime Minister Haider Al-Abadi said in a press conference on Tuesday.
This price has been identified based on the estimations of oil experts, despite being viewed by some as conservative, said Al-Abadi, adding that the estimates are a little high to reduce the budget deficit, he added.
The prime minister also indicated that Iraq public spending depends by 95% on oil sales, which has been decreasing since 2014.
