Iraqi bourse closes in red

Mubasher: The main index of Iraq Stock Exchange (ISX) rose on Wednesday by 0.73% or 4.23 points to the level of 580.41 points.

Trading volume reached 3.23 billion shares exchanged at IQD 1.56 billion through 700 trades.

Foreign investors sales amounted to IQD 582 million, while their purchases reached IQD 225 million.

Out of 35 companies, 13 shares closed in green and nine others declined.

Mansour Bank was the best performing share after adding 6.76%, while Iraqi Carton Manufacturers was the worst after falling 3.33%.

Dar Es Salaam Investment Bank  was the largest-traded stock a trading volume of 1.01 billion shares, while Mansour Bank made the highest liquidity with IQD 252.73 million.

The bourse’s benchmark index declined on Tuesday by 0.9% or 5.22 points to 576.18 points.
