Islamic Arab Insurance posts deeper Q3 losses

Dubai – Mubasher: Islamic Arab Insurance reported that its Q3 net losses widened 49% year-on-year to AED 71.26 million ($19.4 million) from AED 47.84 million ($13.02 million), according to a bourse filing on Tuesday.

Incurred claims declined 20.4% to AED 100.63 million, said the company, adding that total paid claims lowered 25.3% to AED 87.56 million.

Over the first nine months, the company logged AED 227.15 million losses, deeper 187% year-on-year from AED 79.16 million.
