Cairo – Mubasher: Italy considers establishing three logistics zones and ten silos worth $45 million in Egypt, said Minister of Supply Khaled Hanafy during his meeting with Guido Benevento, the cooperation advisor for the Italian-Egyptian Debt-for-Development Fund.
The three logistics zones are centered in the governorates of Beni Suef, Qena, and the Red Sea at $28 million, the minister said.
Italy is establishing now “horizontal wheat silos with a storing capacity of 500,000 tonnes yearly at $17 million”, the minister added.
Earlier, the Egyptian minister earlier pointed out that Egypt has a total of 50 vertical silos equally built by UAE and Saudi finances and 10 horizontal silos by Italian finance.
