Cairo – Mubasher: The Italian oil and gas company Eni has denied it made a major fresh discovery in Egypt.
Claudio Descalzi, CEO of Eni, said that the North African nation has prospects and new geological structures, but the company has not discovered anything yet, Reuters reported on Monday.
Last week, Eni unveiled it would begin drilling an exploratory well at its Noor field in North Sinai in two months.
In April, Eni has started operation at its second production unit of Egypt's supergiant offshore Zohr gas field in the Mediterranean.
