Cairo – Mubasher: The Italian oil and gas company Eni is looking to accelerate the Vagor field development plan in Egypt’s Western Desert to officially begin production from the field within the next three to six months.
The company will start drilling the third well in the field in the coming period to announce its results prior to the end of the third quarter of 2018, local newspaper Al Shorouk reported, citing a source at the Egyptian petroleum ministry.
Eni aims to complete drilling the rest of wells at Vagor Field by 2019, according to the source.
In May, the Italkian state-run oil firm announced the oil discovery of Vagor field located in the north of Siwa Oasis in the Western Desert.
