Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s petroleum minister Tarek El-Molla was in talks with a delegation from Italy’s Maire Tecnimont over cooperation opportunities in implementing new petrochemical projects.
The Italian delegation includes company’s chairman Fabrizio Di Amato and CEO Pierroberto Folgiero, according to a statement by the petroleum ministry.
Both parties discussed the available investment opportunities in the petroleum sector of the North African Nation, in line with its strategy to develop the petrochemical industry and boost the value-added projects.
They also considered the priorities of the current projects that the Italian firm may contribute to their execution, in addition to the new ongoing projects, such as Sidi Kerir Petrochemical (Sidpec) and the petrochemical complex in Suez.
Maire Tecnimont’s chairman said that the company is looking forward to reinforcing its business in the Arab world's most populous country to establish a fruitful partnership with the Egyptian oil sector.
