J.P. Morgan acquires 49% stake in EFG Hermes-affiliate energy portfolio

Cairo – Mubasher: EFG Hermes Holding on Wednesday announced that a group of institutional investors advised by J.P. Morgan Asset Management have bought a 49% stake in a Vortex Energy’s pan-European wind portfolio.

The 998 megawatts portfolio includes 56 operational wind farms spread across Spain, France, Portugal, and Belgium, according to a bourse statement. 

Vortex Energy is an investment platform sponsored and managed by EFG Hermes. The deal's value was not disclosed. 

Established four years ago, Vortex Energy is holding an 822-MW portfolio and executing EUR 2.4 billion ($2.7 billion) investment deals.
