JAFZA-Japan trade hits AED 2.7bn in 2015

 

Dubai – Mubasher: Trade between the Jebel Ali Free Zones (JAFZA) and Japan grew 36% in the past five years to reach AED 2.7 billion in 2015, according to a statement.

Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, DP World Group chairman and CEO, noted that JAFZA has become a launch pad for Japanese good and products to regional countries, according to a statement.

The number of Japanese companies in JAFZA has exceeded 105 companies, the most important of which are: Sony, Hitachi, Toshiba, Panasonic, Nissan, Mitsubishi Motors, Honda, and Toyota, the top executive revealed.
