Dubai - Mubasher: Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority (JAFZA) a subsidiary of global trade enabler DP World, on Wednesday announced that it achieved a 2% profit growth in the first half of 2017.
The total profits of JAFZA in H1-17 reached AED 601.3 million as compared to AED 588.3 million in the year-ago period, according to JAFZA statement.
On the other hand, the revenues dropped 0.2% to AED 975 million, versus AED 977.6 million in H1-16.
The general and administrative expenses in H1-2017 also declined 9% to AED 83.4 million, against AED 91.4 million in the same period of 2016, with capital expenditures amounted to AED 249 million.
The companies in the free zone hiked 12% to 271 firms, comparing to 242 firms in the year-ago period.
