Cairo – Mubasher: The establishment of Japanese schools in Egypt has been postponed, a source at Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) told Almal News.
Egypt’s Ministry of Education has decided to defer and reschedule the time of the project’s implementation, the source highlighted.
The Japanese agency will be responsible for designing and training only, the source noted.
JICA is still cooperating with the Egyptian government, the source added, pointing out that the schools' project has not been completely cancelled.
On 7 October, the Egyptian Ministry of Finance has allocated EGP 129.6 billion and EGP 330 million for the education sector and students’ health insurance, respectively, in accordance with the country’s general budget for fiscal year 2017/2018.
