Cairo – Mubasher: Japan has agreed to award a JPY 1.560 billion ($14 million) grant to establish outpatient clinics at Egypt’s child hospital Abu El-Reish.
Minister of International Cooperation Sahar Nasr signed Monday the grant agreement with Japan’s Ambassador to Cairo Takehiro Kagawa.
The project will help enhance medical services provided for patients who cannot afford paid medication, as it will provide the equipment needed at the child hospital, the minister said.
She added that Egypt and Japan are also holding talks over other major projects like the expansion at Borg El Arab Airport, as well as capacity boosting project for three power plants at a total value of $400 million.
