Cairo – Mubasher: Japan’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries decided to resume importing Egyptian citrus after a 25-year ban, Egypt’s Ambassador to Tokyo, Ayman Kamel, revealed.
Over the last two years, the Egyptian embassy contacted Japanese officials to allow Egyptian citrus fruits to the market, Kamel said in a statement on Monday.
A committee was formed of experts from the two countries to discuss the conditions of opening the Japanese market to Egyptian citrus.
