Mubasher: Japan's share average Nikkei drifted lower on Friday to continue its bearish performance this start of the week.
The gauge fell by 0.39% or 69 points to reach a three-month low of 19,698 points. It lost 7% this week to record its biggest weekly losses since September.
The broader index Topix lost 0.7% to 1,447.32 points.
Meanwhile, Chinese shares suffered record declines this week due to the drop in the country's industrial sector activity for the tenth successive month.
