Japan’s indices on higher note

Mubasher: The Japanese indices ended Thursday on a stronger note amid a decline in Yen’s value.

The Nikkei index was 1.07% higher to 16,255 points.

The broader Topix rose by 0.87% to 1,283 points.

By 7:54am GMT, Yen rose against the US dollar by 0.27% to 101.51 per dollar.
