Cairo – Mubasher: Japan’s investments in Egypt stood at $880 million through nearly 106 companies operating in the most populous Arab nation, minister of investment Sahar Nasr said.
Representatives of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) as well as 25 Japanese firms have discussed with the Egyptian investment minister the means to further expand in the North African nation especially after the introduction of new regulations, according to a statement on Tuesday.
During fiscal year 2017/2018, Japan’s investments in Egypt hiked by 74.3% to $162.1 million from $93 million a year earlier, the statement added.
