Japan stocks slide on oil price concerns

Mubasher: Japan stocks closed Monday in the red, pressured by the steep decline in their global peers on worries about global oil prices.

Nikkei dropped 3.1% to 17191 points, while TOPIX index fell 3.1% to 1406.

Financial analyst Mohammed Alshmemri told Mubasher that jitters prevailed in the markets, pushing investors to sell most of their equities which are considered unsafe currently.
