Mubasher: Jazeera Airways achieved a growth of 18.1% year-on-year (YoY) in profits to KWD 2.3 million ($7.6 million) during the second quarter of 2017.
The company’s operating profits grew by 22.9% (YoY) to KWD 2.2 million in Q2-17, according to a recent statement.
Jazeera Airways’ positive results in Q2 are attributed to higher utilisation, improved network planning, and a strong demand for travel during the second quarter, in which Jazeera Airways registered the best second quarter by flown passengers since Q2-09.
“Our team is also working hard to further optimise our route network, to increase utilisation of our fleet, to add new routes in the coming quarters, and to deliver the state-of-the-art dedicated terminal at Kuwait International Airport, which we promised to launch in the first quarter of next year,” chairman of Jazeera Airways Marwan Boodai said.
