Mubasher: Jordan's King Abdullah II said on Monday that his country seeks to the completion of Iraqi crude oil pipeline from Basra, south Iraq, to the export harbors in the port of Aqaba and the Egyptian ports.
Abdullah expressed the aspirations of Jordan during his meeting with Iraqi Oil Minister, Adil Abdul-Mahdi, and his Egyptian counterpart, Tarek El-Molla, according to a statement by the Royal Hashemite Court.
Abdullah also pointed to the importance of such projects in connecting the Arab countries and peoples, and meet the challenges faced by the energy sector.
Egypt, Jordan and Iraq signed a tripartite agreement to provide the first two countries with Iraqi surplus crude and natural gas, as well as exporting Iraqi gas to Egypt and Jordan through Arab gas pipeline.
