Mubasher: Jordan is looking to increase Qatari investments to $4 billion in unorthodox market sectors over the next three years, the Jordanian Minister of State for Investment Affairs said.
Currently, Qatar’s investments in Jordan reach about $2 billion in a wide range of sectors including energy, real estate, stock market and banks, Lusail News reported on Wednesday, citing Muhannad Shehadeh as saying.
In the same vein, Jordanian manufacturers aim to enter the Qatari market in a number of sectors such as food industries, chemicals and construction, Shehadeh noted.
More than 100 Jordanian industrial firms will showcase their products in an exhibition held in Doha on Wednesday.
Trade exchange between Qatar and Jordan grew 18% to QAR 1.3 billion ($359.29 million) in 2018, against QAR 1.1 billion ($304.02 million) in the prior year, Qatar-Jordan Joint Business Council deputy chairman revealed on Tuesday.
