Mubasher: Jordan’s consumer price index shrank by 1.2% in the first quarter of 2016, showed data released by Department of Statistics (DoS)Tuesday .
The groups that led to this decline are transportation (-6%), meat & poultry (-7.9%), fuel and electricity (-8.5%), dry and canned vegetable & legumes (-5.5%), and fruits & nuts (-3.5%), DoS added.
Meanwhile, the group of leases, culture & entertainment, ready-made clothes, and oils & fats rose by 3.2%, 5.8%,4.1%, and 3.1% respectivley.
