Jordan’s inflation falls 1.2% in 5M

Mubasher: Jordan’s customer price index (CPI) dropped 1.2% since the beginning of 2016 till May, compared to the same period in 2015, according data released by the Department of Statistics (DoS), reported Jordan News Agency (Petra).

The groups that led the decline were transportation (6.7%), meat and poultry (6.7%), fuel and electricity (8%), dry and canned vegetable and legumes (5.3%) and fruits and nuts (4.4%), DoS added.

Meanwhile, the leasing, culture and entertainment, ready-made clothes and education segments rose by3.2 %, 5.4%, 3.7% and 1.1%, respectively.
