Jordan’s stock market closes in green zone

The benchmark index of Amman Stock Exchange grew 0.05% or 1.06 points to close at 2,115.45 points by the end of Thursday’s trading session.

Today’s trading value amounted to JOD 7.5 million as trading volume stood at 8.3 million shares which were traded through about 3,870 transactions.

The industrial sector topped the gainers by a growth of 0.42%, followed by the financial sector which leveled up by 0.05%.

Shares of 120 companies were traded, as 48 stocks rose and 31 fell.

Union Tobacco & Cigarette Industries by topped the winners by a growth of 7.46%, while Middle East Diversified Investment led the losers by 5%.
