Jordan stocks continue rise amid thin trading

Mubasher: Amman Stock Exchange's (ASE) benchmark edged up 0.16% or 3.43 points to reach the 2,117.43 level.

Traded value declined from JOD 9.1 million to JOD 8.7 million, after 9.7 million shares changed hands in 4,970 transactions.

Key sectors rose collectively, topped by the industrial which moved 0.56% higher, followed by the services and financial sectors which gained 0.46% and 0.01%, respectively.

Out of the 124 stocks traded on Thursday, gainers outperformed losers 59 to 31.

Amal Financial Investment led the way in gains, rocketing 7.36% to JOD 1.02. Meanwhile, Jordan Dairy was the biggest loser, falling 4.95% to JOD 5.76.
