Mubasher: Jordan’s government signed an agreement with Al Dahra Agricultural Company to meet the country’s needs of wheat and barley during a conference on food security held in Abu Dhabi on Monday.
With a renewable option of two years, the agreement will enable Jordan to import 400,000 tons of wheat and 400,000 tons of barley within two years, said the United Arab Emirates based company.
This year, the Jordanian government imported about 650,000 tons of wheat.
