Jordon trade balance deficit records JOD 4.5bn in H1

Mubasher: Jordon trade balance deficit went up 2.7% y-o-y to JOD 4.5 billion in the first half of 2016, according to Department of Statistics (DoS) figures.

The country’s trade balance deficit came on the back of the decline of national exports by 9.6% as well as imports by 1.1% on a yearly basis in H1-2016.

Re-exports climbed 6.5% y-o-y to JOD 401.5 million in the first half of 2016.
