Riyadh – Mubasher: The General Entertainment Authority (GEA) launched the first edition of Joy Entertainment Forum 2019 on Sunday, 13 October 2019, under the aegis of Turki Bin Abdulmohsen Al Sheikh.
The step comes along with the authority’s plan to build and develop the Saudi entertainment industry, in line with the Saudi Vision 2030, according to the forum's website.
This will enable the kingdom to become an international centre for mega entertainment events, and an important base for businesses and talents associated with the entertainment industry.
The forum will host some Hollywood and Bollywood celebrities.
It will focus on growth factors of the local economy, the role of social behaviours, interaction with innovation and technology, and the creation of joy, happiness, and well-being.
On the sidelines of the event, several deals have been signed between the GEA and Saudi Arabia Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, in addition to other agreements with Kafalah SME Loan Guarantee Program and King Abdulaziz University.
