Cairo – Mubasher: Juhayna Food Industries on Monday reported a 38.5% year-on-year rise in consolidated profits for the first quarter of 2018, recording a net profit of EGP 80.72 million, versus EGP 58.25 million in Q1-17, including minority shareholders’ rights.
Sales grew to EGP 1.5 billion during the three-month period ended last March, up from EGP 1.28 billion in the prior-year period, Juhayna said in a filing to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX).
At the level of standalone profits, the Egyptian dairy products firm has turned profitable in Q1-18 with EGP 88.19 million in profits, against losses of EGP 5.9 million in Q1-17.
Juhayna had previously posted a net profit of EGP 197.7 million for the full-year 2017, compared to EGP 53.6 million in profits a year earlier.
