Cairo – Mubasher: Juhayna Food Industries on Thursday reported a 107% year-on-year hike in its consolidated profits for 2018.
Net profit amounted to EGP 408.24 million in the 12-month period ended December, versus EGP 197.7 million in 2017, the Egyptian dairy products company said in a filing to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX).
Sales surged to EGP 7.12 billion last year, versus EGP 6.06 billion in the year before, according to the filing.
At the level of standalone business, the company’s profits logged EGP 308.2 million in profits last year from EGP 142.5 million in 2017.
Juhayna previously posted an 83% year-on-year increase in its consolidated profits for the third quarter of this year, recording EGP 119.6 million, up from EGP 65.3 million in the prior-year period.
